Towards our 2009-12 strategic plan and equality scheme - help shape our priorities through our on-line consultation
Dear Colleague,
Would you like a chance to shape the Commission's plans? Do you have views about who in society we should be supporting, what policy areas we should be concentrating or any other matters you think we should be considering? Now is your chance to get involved and make sure your views will be heard by our Commissioners before they agree our strategic priorities.
Earlier this year we published our first annual business plan and our 2008/9 equality scheme. Both were developed by working closely with people and organisations that have an interest in what we do to ensure that our work continues to meet the needs of those for whom we strive to bring about changes in our society.
The Commission has now begun a further stage of involvement and consultation as an important first step in the development of the three-year strategic plan and equality scheme, both of which will be published in April 2009.
As someone who shares our interests and ambitions we would like to invite you to take part in our online consultation, which can be accessed through our website at: www.equalityhumanrights.com/consultations
Your views and input into this first stage of our consultation will be used to inform the development of our strategic priorities and our equality scheme.
In the New Year we begin the second stage which will take the strategic priorities we have developed and the draft equality scheme and seek further input through a series of events and another on-line consultation. Feedback in this second stage will then be used to inform the final version of our strategic plan and equality scheme.
Your views are very important to us so please do take this opportunity to get involved. If you have any questions or would like the on-line consultation in an alternative format please contact:
businessplanning@equalityhumanrights.com or
equalityscheme@equalityhumanrights.com
The consultation runs until the 7 December 2008.
Thank you for your on-going interest and support.
Regards,
Patrick Diamond
Group Strategy Director
