With the planned ratification of the European Council Convention on Action Against Trafficking for 2008 and a commitment from Government to tackle the problem. The time is right to bring together good practice from all sides to ensure real progress is made.
A joined up approach involving the police, UK Borders Agency, local authorities, victim support groups and housing providers is essential to ensure perpetrators can be detected and victims supported.
